Where Plastic Likes to Hide

Most kettles look like steel on the outside, but plastic often lines the parts you can't see - a plastic-lined lid, or seals sitting directly in the water as it boils.

Repeated heat breaks that plastic down over time, releasing microplastics into the water you're about to drink.

It happens quietly, boil after boil.

That Whistle Again - Now In Steel

Food-grade stainless steel touches your water, and nothing else does.

The handle and whistle lever use heat-resistant nylon with a wood-grain finish - more durable than real wood under heat, and doesn't actually touch your water, so what you drink only ever meets steel.

Use on any cooktop - gas, electric, ceramic or induction and wait for the whistle - that familiar sound that means it's ready, the same one you grew up with.

The Last Kettle You'll Buy

Once you're boiling water in steel instead of plastic, you notice the difference - no faint taste, no wondering what's leaching in, no second-guessing your own kettle.

It sits beautifully on your stovetop too, so it's not something you hide in a cupboard between uses.

Switching to stainless steel is the simple upgrade that changes everything.

Zero toxic coatings

Nothing leaches into your water, just steel

Steel-only contact

Zero plastic ever touches your water

The nostalgic whistle

The comforting sound of simpler mornings

Beautifully designed

A kettle you'll want on display, not tucked away

Have questions?

Does any plastic touch the water?

No. From filling to pouring, only stainless steel comes into contact with your water.

The whistle cap does use a small heat-resistant nylon component that steam passes through as it exits - more on that below.

Does steam touch any plastic?

Yes. The whistle sound is created by steam passing through a small heat-resistant nylon chamber in the cap - that's actually how the whistle works.

Nylon is stable well past steam temperature (100°C) and only ever contacts steam briefly during boiling, never liquid water.

It's the same reasoning behind the handle: nylon holds up to heat and steam far better than real wood or metal alternatives at this price point, without any compromise to what you actually drink

Is the handle made of wood?

No, and that's intentional.

The handle is made from heat-resistant nylon with a wood-grain look - it never touches your water, so it doesn't need to be food-grade steel or timber.

Real wood looks beautiful but on a kettle it's a liability: repeated exposure to heat and steam can cause it to crack, split or develop mould over time.

Heat-resistant nylon gives you the same warm, timber look with none of that risk - designed to handle years of daily steam without breaking down.

What stovetops does it work on?

All of them: gas, electric, ceramic and induction. One kettle, no compatibility issues.

How do I clean and care for it?

Hand wash with warm soapy water and dry after each use.

Avoid abrasive scourers on the brushed steel finish, and wipe the handle dry after boiling to keep it looking new for longer.

Aussies are making the switch to stainless steel every day.
